ThirdLaunch - A New Stage of Life
Dear Readers,
You might be asking yourself --- where did the term 'ThirdLaunch' come from? Well, we've been in the transition and change business for over twenty years and one of our well-known four day seminars is titled LIFELAUNCH and it is a well developed process for creating the next chapter in one's life.
People from all sorts of backgrounds have been coming to this seminar for years in order to take some 'time out' and consciously, intentionally take a look at what's most important to them at this time in life and how that set of priorities shapes the chapter they want to live in to in the coming years. We've collected hundreds of stories from past participants confirming the value of intentional planning. Comments like this -- "It's been six years since I attended the LL workshop and everything I had on my planning board has come to be in my life!" or "Wow, I had no idea that I was experiencing some of the common challenges of change and it was reassuring and enormously helpful to be with others also focused on building a new and vibrant next chapter".
Yes, plenty of 60-something's have attended this seminar, but more and more we notice that there are some very big differences that those of us at this stage of life are facing. Some of the themes include:
- How are my priorities changing at this time in my life?
- What's most important for me to be doing and 'being'?
- How much work do I want to engage in at this stage of life?
- What sort of work would I find appealing?
- Where do I want to live and in what sort of home?
- If I constructed a list of the twenty most important things/events/places on my priority list for the next five years, what would show up?
- How active do I want to be in my children's lives (and the grandchildren)
- How do I want to ensure my health and wellness is at an optimal place
- How do I also stay alert to the surprises, the 'e-shocks' that are likely to occur at this stage of life?
- How much money is enough?
- And in the words of Mary Oliver --- how about the wild and crazy dreams of the past? Is there a place for some of these in my life now?
So, ThirdLaunch is a program designed specifically for this stage of life, creating an opportunity for you to be in the company of other's asking many of the same questions and challenging you to revisit old dreams, create some new and wild ideas about possibilities for the future and live into a new chapter with real passion and a plan that will get you there!
